Győr 2020 Para Teqis Cup

Para Teqis

Last weekend was held the first Para Teqis Cup (prize money 400$) in Győr at the Olympic Sport Park. After a few months break, it was a great restart of the competition season and even the weather conditions made the event more enjoyable. The athletes of the new, innovative para sport called para teqis - that was especially developed for disabled people - have improved a lot since the first international Challenger Cup that was held at the beginning of the year. The spectators could enjoy high-level, exciting matches during the whole day.
Surprisingly, Sedric Russel Watchou Kouokam (citizen of Cameroon origin) won the cup that was his first appearance on a para teqis tournament. Lőrincz Szabó, who reached the 3rd place at the Challenger Cup in January finished the tournament on the 2nd place, while another newcomer, Csaba Vas was able to reach the 3rd place.
